Celebrate Valentine’s Day Around Town

Discovering ways to have fun is kind of my thing, so I came up with a few ideas not only for that special couple wanting to splurge, or cannot splurge too much, but also for our solo adventurer who rejoice in the antithesis of Valentine’s Day.

For the Couple on a Budget:  Ruby’s Crystal Cove Shake Shack, a personal favorite of mine, located on Pacific Coast Highway, will impress without monetary stress.  With “shake” in their name, you have to believe they are amazing.  February’s Shake of the Month is the Dark Chocolate Raspberry Shake, which is a blend Hershey’s dark chocolate, vanilla ice cream and fresh raspberries, then topped with whipped cream and a raspberry on top.Shake-Shack-Exterior (800x242)

Going Solo in Belmont Shore:  Panama Joe’s energetic Mexican restaurant and sports bar has one of the best happy hours in Long Beach. With their reasonably-priced beer and cocktails and daily specials, this is the perfect place to meet that special someone on Valentine’s Day.Panama-Joes-bar (800x534)

The Biggish Spender:  Billy’s at the Beach offers an amazingly delicious and famous Billy’s Mai Tai, but their Dungeness crab cakes, pan fried and served with key lime beurre blanc, mango and papaya salsa, in the piano bar will definitely make the experience worth every cent.
